Crawford Door Sales started as a garage door business in 1946, as a division of the Oscar E. Chytraus Company.

In the early 1960’s, Crawford Doors took on the Stanley gate operator line, and became "Master Gate Distributors" for Stanley. Eventually Crawford Doors began assisting contractors in installing gate operators and access controls.

In the 1980’s Crawford Doors became an installing dealer for Stanley, and did their own sales, installation and service for gate operators, and has been doing so ever since.

In 1988, 13 employees purchased ownership of the company, and today, 20 employee owners have an interest in making certain the customer gets the right product for the job.

After the 1988 employee purchase of the company, Crawford Door employed a full time sales representative dedicated to gate operators and access controls. Today the gate division of Crawford Doors is known as Crawford Access Controls.

Crawford Access Controls employs a full time sales representative, a service technician and installer.
